These terms govern your use of ruffventures.co.uk (the "Site"). The Site is operated by Ruff Ventures Ltd (the "Company", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Jersey, Channel Islands, with its registered office at Portman House, Hue Street, St Helier, Jersey JE4 5RP. By accessing or using the Site you accept these terms in full.
1. Use of the Site
The Site is provided for general informational purposes - to present the Company's portfolio of ventures and provide a means of contact. You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:
- Use the Site or its forms to send unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or unsolicited commercial material.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its hosting infrastructure, or related systems.
- Interfere with the operation of the Site, including by introducing viruses or malicious code.
2. Intellectual property
All content on the Site - including text, design, layout, graphics, and logos - is the property of Ruff Ventures Ltd or its licensors and is protected by Jersey, UK, and international copyright laws. You may view, download, and print pages for personal, non-commercial use only. Logos belonging to portfolio companies remain the property of the respective companies and are used with permission.
3. Linked portfolio sites
The Site links to third-party websites operated by Ruff Ventures Ltd's portfolio companies and external parties. The Company does not control and is not responsible for the content, products, services, or privacy practices of those websites. Links are provided for convenience only and do not imply endorsement.
4. No advice
Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, financial, investment, tax, medical, or professional advice. Any decisions you make based on information on the Site are taken at your own risk.
5. Mailing list
If you sign up to the mailing list, you consent to receive occasional email updates from Ruff Ventures Ltd. You may unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or by writing to jonathan@ruffventures.co.uk.
6. Privacy
Use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Disclaimers
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Jersey law, the Company makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of the Site or the information contained on it.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, or anticipated savings, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or any information made available on it.
The Company's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Site, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, shall be limited to a sum equal to up to £100.
Nothing in these terms shall exclude or limit the Company's liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by its negligence; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by Jersey law.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the Company harmless from and against any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Site or breach of these terms.
10. Changes to the Site or these terms
We may change the Site or these terms at any time, without notice. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Jersey, Channel Islands. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Royal Court of Jersey.
